Is Joe Biden worried? Just 39% of Americans approve of his performance as President, as per a recent poll.

US President Joe Biden’s popularity is at its lowest point since April, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll. This has raised concerns about his chances for re-election next year. The poll, conducted online with 1,019 adults, found that 39% of respondents approve of Joe Biden’s performance as president. While this matches the April figure, it’s slightly lower than the 40% in October and 42% in September. Keep in mind that there’s a margin of error of about three percentage points.

Many expect Joe Biden to face former US President Donald Trump in the 2024 election, with Trump as the leading Republican candidate. Recent polls suggest a close race between the two, who previously ran against each other in the 2020 US elections.

In this poll, more people expressed concern about “war and foreign conflicts,” with 8% in November, up from 4% in October, mainly due to the Israel-Hamas conflict. This is the highest level of concern since April 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine. Additionally, 20% of respondents mentioned the economy as their top concern, with 9% citing crime and 7% citing the environment.

Joe Biden’s approval rating has been below 50% since August 2021, and this month’s rating is close to the lowest level during his presidency, which was 36% in mid-2022.
