The Billionaires List, also known as the Real-Time Billionaires list, is a yearly list that tells us who the richest people in the world are. Forbes Magazine makes this list every March, and the first edition of this ranking was published in 1987.
To figure out how rich someone is, they look at all the stuff (like houses, businesses, stocks) they own and subtract the money they owe. Then, they tell us how much money these super-rich people have in U.S. dollars. They don’t include kings or dictators because their money comes from being in charge, not from regular stuff like houses and businesses.
